Cloak & Hacker: Realistic Dangers in a Virtual World

The technical intrusion of our lives is of great concern and viable threat... people just don't assume it will come from within our very house... through our own computers  -  we let the gateways into our homes and in fact pay for them to be there, yet we don't acknowledge how dangerous they actually are.

Through this riveting documentary about information security and computer hackers, we learn not all the good guys are good and not all the bad guys are bad. While many people are still trying to grasp the fundamentals to owning and operating computers and digital gadgets, this documentary delves far beyond that and explores the computers, and people who control and/or hijack them, that maintain our society and sometimes our own bodies.

If you use credit cards, ATMs, computers, PDAs, ipad, Kindle, iPhone, Smartphones of any sort, Bluetooth devices or any technical gadget, or have an implantable medical device (such as a pacemaker or defibrillator) then you are at risk. Dan Greer best explains it this way -  "A technology that can give you everything you want is a technology that can take away everything that you have."

"The people of the world have granted control of their existence to computers, networks, and databases. You own property if a computer says you do. You can buy a house if a computer says you may. You have money in the bank if a computer says so. Your blood type is what the computer says it is. You are who the computer says you are."  - From the Diary of Robert Knoll, Senior - Stealing the Network: How to Own an Identity
